Yes, it’s true! I know from personal experience, because I first used the techniques from Verbal Success® to double my salary in one year. Yes, by applying all of the lessons I have shared with you in this program, I was able to put my career on the fast track and earn two promotions in one year!

As a young business professional, I became interested in improving my vocabulary. When I started working as a CPA, I was exposed to dozens of companies, and I quickly noticed that the most successful people all had one thing in common: a robust vocabulary. Because of this, I started to pay close attention to the words executives and successful people used and I began to document them in meetings. I continued to do this during my MBA program and into my career as an Advertising Executive. For several years, I documented hundreds of great Power Words that I heard professionals use.

After a year in advertising, I decided I really wanted to accelerate my career. I decided to begin using the words I had heard executives and successful professionals use. I made a conscious effort to start actively using all of these Power Words. Using the techniques from the Verbal Success® program, I moved these Power Words from my passive vocabulary to my active vocabulary and the results were amazing!

My Story, Your Success

When I first started doing my Verbal Success® seminars, people assumed that I was a natural verbal expert. The irony is that I only scored a 410 on the verbal section of the SAT--well below average. You could say my vocabulary needed some help.

In college, I studied accounting. I went on to work for a prestigious accounting firm and earned my CPA. I then went back to school and studied marketing to earn my MBA. You would think that a business professional with a CPA and an MBA would be on a pathway to success; but although my career seemed to be going well, I felt something was amiss.

When I started to actively use these Power Words in meetings, presentations, and discussions at work, great things started to happen. The President of our agency asked me to head up our new web and multimedia department. This was in the late 90’s and the whole “dot-com” era was in full force, so this was a HUGE opportunity. I was also asked to be involved in more client presentations and higher level meetings. I was promoted from Sr. Account Executive to the Director of Business Development. Then, before the year-end, I was recruited to a healthcare-technology company and was hired on as Vice President of Marketing. In just one year, I was promoted twice and doubled my salary.

I truly believe that vocabulary, and my active use of Power Words, was the impetus behind my rapid advancement and double promotion. This was an amazing realization: I learned that by actively using Power Words, I could quickly advance my career. I was so excited by this that I wanted to help others do the same. This is when I developed the Executive Vocabulary® program.

In doing research, I learned that the market really needed a vocabulary program that was designed to help people improve their vocabulary with a focus on their careers and achieving success. I partnered with a linguist/communication expert, and we founded Execucomm INC and produced the Executive Vocabulary® program (www.executivevocabulary.com).
